I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

There are so many in bloom down here right now! All the old homestead sites are full of them. This was a vacant lot in town that I noticed. I took Katie over there specifically to get this shot of her among the pretty yellow. The next day it rained and they aren’t nearly as pretty. I’m glad I went over there when I did!

I know…..I’m so lucky! If I plan it right it will be spring at home by the time I get back there and I’ll have skipped all the snow that typically shows up in early spring in Michigan. Maybe anyway.

I’ll let her know. She said it wasn’t really an exciting adventure but she doesn’t mind showing off how pretty she is. If that’s all there is to do.
