It’s February 1st, a snow storm is upon us and everyone is huddled inside to wait it out.
Right?
Weekend fun
In the depth of winter fishermen remain passionate about their sport.

Stay warm out there!
Brrrrrrrrrrrr….
I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

Snow in your world, rain in mine. Inside is a good place to be.

Inside is a very good place. But I had to be outside to clear the driveway so that I can go to work tomorrow. Sigh.

We got about 14 inches (355.6 mm) yesterday. This picture was taken in the morning just as it all was starting.

Brr, that looks COLD! I don’t think I want a fish bad enough to sit out on the ice and catch one!

Me either! But I’d take my dog out for a walk in it! 🙂 We talked to the fisherman for a bit and decided that everyone is passionate about something…fishing or dogs…it’s all the same.

Fishermen are diehards! I can’t believe the weather they go out in. I go out too, but I keep MOVING. Sitting still must be brutal.

I think it’s brutal to sit still too. We were freezing and we were walking with the dogs!

yeah…no, that would not be me!! How much are you expecting? They are expecting over a foot here, likely, which is great because you know, it’s not like we didn’t get a few feet last week!! That does look rather cold, btw.

This was the heaviest snowfall in a single day since the early 80’s and the third heaviest snowfall in a single day ever. Here we got about 14 inches in 24 hours.

And the depth of the ice and the water under it! But I like your taking the less obvious thought, the depth of passion for ice fishing. Good one, Dawn!

You got it PJ! I WAS talking about the depth of passion…but didn’t want to say it out loud…nice you figured out the meaning.
