Following in friend’s path.
I spent the weekend ‘up north’ in Michigan, visiting a friend up at the tip of Michigan’s little finger.
It was a wonderful weekend full of good talk and good food and lots of snow.
Chasing the snow front.
Snow is a good thing when you get to play in it rather than try to commute in it.
Peaceful.
Sure is pretty too.
Snowy orchard.
Enough now….maybe more later. I’m settling back into my real life.
Climbing the mountain of real life.
Sigh.
Good memories.
I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

Snow is so pretty — when you’re nice and warm inside looking out at it! Frankly, I’m ready for Spring. These winters that start slowly and end fiercely are roughest, I think. I’d much prefer having snow for Christmas than for Easter, ha!

We got snow down here all day today, was still pretty because the commute to work wasn’t bad! 🙂

Looks beautiful 🙂 I’m glad you had the chance to enjoy the snow. I often wonder if I would love it as much if I had to drive to work. I bet not!

Very pretty! Glad you had a little R &R. Isn’t your dad’s birthday tomorrow? I seemed to remember it followed my dad’s…..If so…A birthday toast to your dad!

You are right. Dad’s birthday is tomorrow. Being out of town I wasn’t even sure it was February!

I was smiling in anticipation before your photos even downloaded. So glad you had the visit with Karen and happy that you found time to visit at the bookstore, too. I enjoyed our face-to-face talk.

Great photos, and I love your cover photo yet again! Does wordpress make it easy to update your cover photo, in the same way that facebook does? With blogger, I have to presize it to exactly the right proportions or it doesn’t work well, which is why my blog image tends to stay the same for long periods.

Yes it’s really easy. You pick one, and upload it…you can pick which part of the photo to use…very easy.
